What is circulating cooling water?

Jun 20, 2019

Circulating cooling water refers to the exchange of heat through heat exchanger or direct contact heat exchange to exchange heat medium, and after cooling tower cool water, recycling use, in order to save water resources.Generally, circulating water is neutral and weakly alkaline, and the pH value is controlled between 7 and 9.5.In the case of the circulating cooling water in direct contact with the medium, the acidity or alkalinity (pH value greater than 10.0) is generally less. The cooling of circulating water is the result of the combined action of three processes:

Active carbon filter

evaporation heat dissipation, contact heat dissipation and radiation heat dissipation.

  1. Evaporation and heat dissipation: water forms large and small water droplets or extremely thin water film in the cooling equipment, and expands the contact area with air and extends the contact time to strengthen the evaporation of water, so that the water vapor takes away the heat needed for gasification from the water and makes the water cool;2. Heat dissipation by contact: water comes into contact with air of lower temperature. Due to temperature difference, the heat in hot water is transferred to air and the water temperature is reduced.3, radiation heat dissipation: do not need the role of heat transfer medium, but by the form of an electromagnetic wave to spread the phenomenon of heat.
