The plastic wastewater mainly contains silt, so the treatment is relatively simple. Generally, after adding flocculant to settle, the effluent is very clear and can reach the standard of secondary utilization. In addition, it will contain certain organic matter and other suspended matter. Depending on the use of plastic products, the COD and SS values in the sewage will also vary greatly. In my country, the process of "grid + regulation + coagulation air flotation + AO + filtration + disinfection" is generally used for treatment.
Specifically, the sewage flows through the grille to remove large impurities before entering the regulating tank. Then, the effluent flows into the air flotation tank while adding coagulant. Agglomerate the suspended matter and colloids of small particles in the wastewater into larger particles and overflow. The effluent of the air flotation tank is further subjected to biological treatment to remove most of the organic matter, ammonia nitrogen and other substances, and then the mud water is separated in the secondary settling tank. Finally, the waste water is recycled through the plate and frame filter press.
